Have you heard of the Cutie Art Crusaders? They do an excellent MLP art discussion podcast on Everfree Network, that I enjoy watching every week. It's also the only MLP show that focuses on art, so this is where to go if you like art analysis on a weekly basis. They can be found at [link] and their Deviantart page is *CutieArtCrusaders.

For a few weeks now they have been badgering the audience to send them fan art of their OCs, which they will compile in an episode soon. I like their blatant narcissism and decided to give it a shot. This is actually my second attempt (third if you count that silly thing I posted on Tumblr). First I made a painting, but got fed up with it because I thought it was boring. It was close to being finished though, so I may post it anyway.

With this second attempt I went an entirely different direction, the change to vector art being the most obvious. It was all about figuring out a good composition with four characters. I tried to give them all a similar amount of focus, and took special care to show off all the cutie marks. The stylization is a nice aspect that evolved naturally form my initial sketches. Definitely happy with the result.
