When I decided to draw Pinkie Pie, I took a moment to recall scenes with her from the latest episode. The one image that immediately came to mind was her sitting with a chicken on her head, which reveals an egg it laid when flying off. This recreation of the scene was done fairly quickly with not too much planning, so I'm happy it came out looking pretty decent. It was also fun being able to draw Pinkie with the Pinkamena hairstyle once more.

By the way, the song that this scene comes from is stuck in my head. It is now officially the best song of season 3.

It's always nice to see Pinkamena. Somehow, she has much more depth than the regular Pinkie Pie, at least the way Pinkie is usually written, with over-the-top random zaniness and not much (nothing, really) else.

And I agree, the song was brilliant.

Slightly off topic, but the animation on that wagon filled with chicken cages was basically amazing. The animators that did that scene are truly masters of their craft.

The art here is very well done, but I know what you mean.

When watching the episode, seeing Pinkie so sad made the moment when the whole town cried out her name that much more powerful, though.
